Mariana Otero - Buenos Aires, Associate
Mariana Otero has worked with Sphere Consulting Group in Buenos Aires since 2008, specializing in policy and communications. Mariana previously served as team leader for outreach initiatives and advocacy campaigns at the Center for the Implementation of Public Policies Promoting Equity and Growth (CIPPEC), recently distinguished as the best think tank in Latin America, according to University of Pennsylvania 2012 Global Go to Think Tanks Reports and Policy Advice. At CIPPEC, she was also responsible for regulatory tracking and preparing policy reports.
Mariana also worked as a member of the Communications team for the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Buenos Aires Province, and as advisor to the Board of Directors of the Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires.
Mariana lived in Washington, DC for 7 years, where she worked as a TV producer covering International Affairs for TV Globo Brazil, and also coordinated various communication projects for global companies such as Mastercard (Latin America) and international organizations such as the Panamerican Health Organization (PAHO). She started her professional experience as a writer for Argentina´s national news agency, Télam, and local business publications such as Information Technology magazine.
